Student team received MHP Award for best Master's Project

Our student team received the MHP Award for the best master's project. In this project, the students developed an innovative IoT device according to the Lean Startup method.

Project Description

This project started with a product idea and four enthusiastic students. Within a year this idea became a marketable product including a prototype and a business plan. An IoT device based on e-paper technology was developed, which is used in private households. An extensive market analysis served as the basis for the decision on the scope of functions. The subsequent development of hardware, an intensive use case development phase based on the Lean Startup method, as well as the development of a complete business plan were represented in this project. In addition, it was necessary to include Chinese suppliers for comprehensive price calculations.
